In order to support the national government’s ambition to increase national shrimp production by 250%, in partnership with Pusat Pelatihan dan Penyuluhan KKP (Puslatluh KKP), Sustainaqua Indonesia Foundation has helped to develop a Digital Training System of a Sustainable Shrimp Farming. The development of the digital training system is aimed to improve the human resource capacity of shrimp farmers to carry out better aquaculture practices. By transforming shrimp farming training materials into a digital platform, that would help the accessibility and dissemination of recent knowledge and technology in shrimp farming to farmers all over Indonesia. The materials provided is formulated by a competent practitioners using an easy-to-understand way, and the digital platform can be accessed free of charge by shrimp farmers and practitioners.
In general, the scope of this online training is covering since the start of farming that is land preparation, farm maintenance, and post-harvest management. The concept of this online training uses blended learning method, where users can learn the material through listening, watching, and also practicing the lessons independently. Under this concept, training participants are expected to easily learn the concepts of shrimp farming and are able apply the knowledge to achieve optimal shrimp farming.
