Pasuruan, East Java – May 15, 2026 – Yayasan Sustainaqua Indonesia (YSAI), in collaboration with PT Mega Marine Pride, organized a Financial Literacy and Family Financial Management Training for company employees in Pasuruan, East Java. The training was attended by approximately 25 staff and employee representatives as part of a broader effort to strengthen financial literacy and promote better household financial management practices.
The event was opened by Rizki Dwinanto, Director of the Sustainaqua Indonesia Foundation, who emphasized that financial literacy is an essential life skill that supports family well-being and strengthens household economic resilience. He highlighted that effective financial management is not determined solely by income level, but by the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage financial resources wisely.
The training was facilitated by Bayu Fajar Rianto, who delivered the sessions in an interactive and practical manner. Participants were guided through the fundamentals of personal and family financial management, including identifying sources of income, understanding household assets, and recognizing financial obligations and liabilities. This approach helped participants gain a clearer picture of their current financial situation as a foundation for making informed financial decisions.

A key component of the training focused on household budgeting. Participants were introduced to various categories of expenses commonly encountered in daily life, including transportation, food and beverages, housing, utilities, healthcare, communication, savings, and social contributions. Through practical exercises and budgeting worksheets, participants were encouraged to assess their spending habits and develop more structured financial plans based on their family priorities and needs.
In addition to budgeting, the training highlighted the importance of saving regularly, understanding the relationship between assets and liabilities, and planning for medium- and long-term financial goals. Interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions provided participants with an opportunity to share their experiences and discuss common financial challenges faced by working families.
Representing PT Mega Marine Pride, Saiful from the Human Resources Department expressed appreciation for the initiative. He noted that financial literacy plays an important role in supporting employee well-being, as healthier household finances can contribute to greater peace of mind, improved focus, and enhanced productivity in the workplace.
The training reflects a shared commitment between the Sustainaqua Indonesia Foundation and PT Mega Marine Pride to support holistic employee development. Beyond technical skills required in the workplace, financial management skills are increasingly recognized as an important foundation for building stable and resilient households.
Through this program, participants are expected to apply the financial management principles they have learned, including preparing household budgets, controlling expenses, strengthening saving habits, and planning for future financial needs. These practical steps can help improve household financial stability while contributing to the overall well-being of employees and their families.
As an organization committed to fostering resilient and sustainable communities, the Sustainaqua Indonesia Foundation will continue to promote capacity-building initiatives that address both professional and life skills. Through collaboration with the private sector and other stakeholders, the Foundation aims to contribute to stronger family welfare and sustainable human development across Indonesia.
